Our New Home
Thursday 11th December 2014

We've got a new home - a new cafe and creative venue in Shoreditch, which has been opened by our very own BodyGossipRuth!

Body Gossip was founded by Ruth Rogers in 2006, because she wanted to get people talking about their bodies to improve their confidence and self-esteem.  Now, Ruth has set up a new cafe and creative venue where she gets people talking about a whole load of topics surrounding happiness and well being, and it's our new home to run our Arts and Education programmes!

The Canvas, which opened in October 2014, is a cafe and creative venue on Hanbury Street in Shoreditch, just off Brick Lane.  Its walls are a blank canvas for the thoughts, opinions, ideas and stories of its customers, answering questions that focus around people's happiest experiences.  In January, it becomes the UK's second Happy Cafe, in association with Action for Happiness.

Body Gossip has already started to devise a new theatre show, based on stories in the Body Gossip Book, at The Canvas, with student directors and actors from the Central School of Speech and Drama.

And in January 2015, the Self-Esteem Team will host the first Body Gossip body confidence workshop for parents at The Canvas.

Loads going on - and we'll keep you posted as it all happens!
